Anne van Binsbergen was a Contributing Analyst for NewsGuard, based in Amsterdam. She has worked as a freelance writer and as an editor and at a number of publishing houses in London and Amsterdam, including Quarto Publishing, HarperCollins Holland, and Atlas Contact.

Van Binsbergen graduated from the University of Amsterdam and the University of Washington, Seattle, with a degree in literature and history.
