Joel Shoemaker

Joel Shoemaker holds a masters degree from Dominican University and is the library director for the Illinois Prairie District Public Library, with six branches in rural Woodford County, Illinois. With the American Library Association, he is on the Advocacy & Legislation Committee for the Association of Library Services to Children, the Awards Oversight Committee for the Young Adult Services Library Association and the 50th Anniversary Committee for the Rainbow Round Table. He acts and directs in community theatre throughout central Illinois and has been a magician for twenty-seven years.
