Shayeza Walid

Intern

Shayeza Walid was a NewsGuard intern. In the summer of 2022, she was a rising senior at University College London, where she studied comparative literature and politics and served as editor-in-chief of Pi Media Online, UCL’s oldest student publication. She was also the opinion and arts editor for the Sundial Journal, an independent publication that supports young voices in journalism. Walid previously studied at Wellesley College, where she served as the college newspaper’s arts editor. She also worked as an undergraduate researcher for UNICEF and MIT’s Media Studies Department.
