Aron Ouzilevski is a Contributing Analyst at NewsGuard. Ouzilevski previously was an Institute of Current World Affairs fellow covering Russian exile communities across the South Caucasus, Europe, and Central Asia, following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He previously worked as a freelance journalist, editor, and cybersecurity analyst. His reporting on Russia and the post-Soviet space has appeared in The Guardian, The Economist, and The Moscow Times. Ouzilevski briefly served in 2025 as editor of the English-language edition of DOXA Journal, an exiled Russian publication. He holds a joint master’s degree in Global Journalism and Russian and Slavic Studies from New York University.
