Alexander Smith is a Staff Analyst for NewsGuard, based in London. He previously worked as an OSINT (open source intelligence) analyst for research and analytics agency Prose Ltd., and as assistant editor for Logically Facts, which provided fact-checking services to Meta and TikTok. Previously, Smith taught English as a foreign language in South Korea, China, and Spain, and worked for the music social media website SoundCloud in Berlin. He is a graduate of the University of Leicester and Leeds Beckett University, with degrees in English literature.
