Michele Calamaio, a NewsGuard intern, is an Italian journalist with a background in multimedia reporting, having covered EU policy, climate-driven migration, and human rights, primarily in the Mediterranean region. A Fulbright fellow at Columbia University’s Graduate School Journalism in New York, he previously worked for The Associated Press, Reuters, Euractiv Italia, and La Repubblica.
