Request a NewsGuard Rating for Your Website

Thank you for your interest in having your website rated by NewsGuard. NewsGuard is an independent, apolitical service that rates and reviews news and information websites based on simple, widely accepted journalistic standards. Ratings are conducted by a team of journalists and editors from varied backgrounds and are based on NewsGuard’s nine journalistic criteria. Details of the criteria and rating process can be found here.

Our ratings are conducted by journalists—not done automatically by algorithms—in a rigorous and time-intensive process. As a result, we regret that we cannot rate every website that is recommended to us right away—even when a representative of the publication has requested a rating. To ensure the greatest likelihood that your website will be rated by NewsGuard promptly and accurately, we kindly ask that you provide some basic information that can expedite the process.

If your answers on this questionnaire include explanations of your journalistic practices or other noteworthy information, we may include quotes from your responses in our Nutrition Label. In other words, please consider your responses to this form to be on the record.
