Kendrick McDonald

Contributing Analyst

Kendrick McDonald was a Contributing Analyst at NewsGuard. Previously he served as a Senior Analyst and the Deputy Editor for Rapid Response at NewsGuard. Prior to joining NewsGuard, Kendrick worked as a fact-checker and researcher for GQ, Smithsonian Magazine, and The Investigative Fund, a media nonprofit that partners with a variety of print, digital, and broadcast outlets to produce investigative journalism. He was also an editorial assistant for NewsGuard’s co-CEO, Steven Brill, and previously completed the editorial internship at Harper’s Magazine, where he helped compile the publication’s Index and Readings pages. McDonald graduated from Yale University, where he worked as a senior editor at The New Journal, a student magazine, and as features editor at The Yale Herald, the school’s weekly newspaper. He is currently a graduate student in the Master’s in Public Policy program at the Harvard Kennedy School, focusing on media and technology policy.
