Larry Levin

Contributing Analyst

Larry Levin was a Contributing Analyst for NewsGuard. He is a nonprofit and communications consultant, and is the founder and President/CEO of STL Nonprofit News, a startup nonprofit covering the St. Louis region’s charitable community. His prior work in journalism includes serving as Publisher/CEO of the nonprofit St. Louis Jewish Light, and a stint as Associate Editor of The Riverfront Times, St. Louis’ alternative weekly. He has also contributed articles to other publications, including The Jerusalem Post and eJewishphilanthropy.

Levin is an attorney by training, receiving his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Urban Law Annual (now the Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law). He practiced real estate law and was a commercial real estate developer for many years. He has served on governance and advisory nonprofit boards in a variety of sectors, including education, arts, environment, and community services. He received his B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.
